A book to promote harmony and ease the tension in community title living has been launched by specialist body corporate and community management company Stewart Silver King and Burns (SSKB).

 

Managing Director of SSKB, Tim Sheehan said The Book of Body Corporate Wisdom is an attempt to enhance the human element of community living in an era of a surge of new multi-residential developments. "A lot of people have very little idea of the world of bodies corporate ," Mr Sheehan said.

 

"However about one half of the anticipated 1.2 million additional people to live in south-east Queensland over the next two decades will end up living under a community title scheme.

 

"Our book is a practical guide to educate people in a relaxed way about the social norms of community living.

 

"People often get lost in the maze of small-scale and financial matters involved in a body corporate without seeing its role in building social and civic well-being within a wider community," Mr Sheehan said.

 

Mr Sheehan said The Book of Body Corporate Wisdom was a first for the industry and evidence of SSKB's commitment to improving the standards of information and education for all players in the industry, especially individual lot owners.

 

It provides quotes and inspiring ideas on topics as diverse as communication, dispute resolution and meeting procedures and keeping a sense of humour in community living.
